The CPI and CPM parties on Tuesday started seat-sharing negotiation talks with Pawan Kalyan’s JanaSena party.
CPM Andhra Pradesh state secretary P Madhu and CPI Andhra Pradesh state secretary K Ramakrishna held talks with Janasena leader Nadendla Manohar at the party office in Vijayawada.
Following discussions with the Janasena leaders, Madhu and Ramakrishna spoke to reporters and said they would hold series of meetings after Sankranti festival.
“We met with Janasena leaders today and discussed the seat sharing matters,” the said.
They further said that “we have also talked about how to counter the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and main opposition YSR Congress party in the coming general elections.”
Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan had previously made it clear that his party will contest in all the 175 assembly constituencies in Andhra Pradesh and will not align with any ruling or opposition parties other than Left parties.
He also confirmed that his party will offer women and young people more opportunities.
Pawan Kalyan further called upon party cadre and the Janasainiks to strive for the party’s victory and further asked the leaders and followers to go into the masses and campaign the ideology of the party.
